Natural Hair
Hey, I'm going to explain to you just what natural hair is today.
"Black women’s hair has been under attack for centuries. Due to the history of slavery in America and a strict enforcement of white supremacy after it’s abolition, the natural hair movement we know and love today was not always so accepted. And to be real, it’s still not always accepted". Having "natural" hair means that you don't put perms or texturizers in your hair.
It means you embrace the hair you were born with and come to love it no matter what others have to say about it. In the 1600s womens hair was attacked which forced multiple women to have to have it shaved off. This happened during slavery. The slave owners wanted the women to feel as disconnected from their culture as possible
